Most Smart Watches are connected to the Internet through the cellular transmission of a specific mobile operator. Mobile Internet is important for the operation of smart watches. Through the connection to it, the device is paired with a smartphone, a mobile application, as well as various other operations: dialing emergency numbers, alarm clock, geolocation, information notifications, and more.

Some smartwatch models may have a SIM card slot that offers the possibility of using the device as a mobile phone. Such a slot is provided in almost all models of children's smart watches.

To maintain communication and in order not to be constantly tied to the Internet, it is recommended to connect a SIM card.

It is important to understand that most wrist devices have a 2G mobile network. Therefore, you should consider the coverage areas where you most often plan to use smart watches.

First you need to place a SIM card in the smart watch slot, which is located on the side or back of the device. If the installation was done correctly, the mobile network indicator will appear on the watch display for a few seconds.

The note. To activate the SIM card and reset the password, it is recommended to insert it into the smartphone and top up the balance for the required amount according to the operator's tariff.

Setting up a tariff plan from the selected mobile operator requires you to first select a tariff with 2G network support. Traffic must be at least 500 MB.

  • If the connection fails, you can try turning off the bluetooth on your smartphone and turning it back on.
