The energy of small hearts - help together with Gelius
The Ukrainian brand of smart gadgets and mobile accessories Gelius, together with Eldorado company, launched a charity project designed to raise funds for the purchase of instruments for the children's department of the NISH. M.M. Amosov.
Gadgets have long become an integral part of the life of a modern person. And if it is difficult for us to imagine at least one day spent without electronics, for some children who have just been born, the possibility of proper and quick treatment is vital.
From August 14 to September 30, every buyer of Gelius products in Eldorado stores and on the Gelius brand website automatically becomes a benefactor, helping such children!
Every year, about 3,500 children are born in Ukraine with congenital abnormalities of the cardiovascular system, and doctors assess the condition of 30-40% of them as critical. Without surgical intervention, about 40% of such patients die, and almost 90% die before the age of one year.
At the National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery named after M.M. Amosova performs about 700 operations on children from all over Ukraine per year, 70 of them for critical defects. For each such child, the "price" of a successful operation is a future life. In order to save little hearts, in addition to highly qualified personnel, high-quality equipment is needed, which includes the availability of special surgical instruments.
Today, the Department of Congenital Heart Defects in Newborns and Young Children of the National Institute of Health named after M.M. Amosova urgently needs to purchase a special surgical instrument. These are the so-called "micro-instruments", which differ from their counterparts in their small size and impeccable quality: microtweezers, vascular clamps, needle holders. It is they that allow safe and successful operation of the newborn's heart and vessels with a diameter of 1 to 3 millimeters.
Thanks to joint efforts, we are able to save little hearts.
That is why we launched a joint charity project that operates throughout Ukraine and aims to collect 150,000 hryvnias. To achieve this goal, Gelius, Eldorado, Dobro.ua, Hanna Dobridneva, and Lavina Mall have united.
By buying Gelius products at the Eldorado store in any city of Ukraine, you also become an assistant to a good cause.
During the charity campaign, 10 hryvnias from each Gelius device sold in Eldorado stores and on the Gelius.ua website will be transferred to charity fundraising for the purchase of equipment.
The launch of the "Energy of Small Hearts" project took place on August 14, 2021 in the "Lavina" shopping center, where you could listen to a presentation about the purpose of the campaign, as well as enjoy a performance by the singer Anna Dobridneva, who became the ambassador of the project. More than a million people have already learned about this project.
The charity event takes place throughout Ukraine in all Eldorado stores and in the Gelius online store from August 14, 2021 to September 30, 2021.
