What is a hospital for a child, even if there are excellent doctors, beautiful surroundings and all the necessary conditions?
A hospital is a closed, unfamiliar space filled with medications, worries, worried adults whose moods affect children.
That is why the employees of the "Zaporuka" charitable foundation have been helping children and families from all over Ukraine for 11 years, who came to Kyiv for treatment and accommodation in a beautiful place, which the children named - "Dacha".
Today it is a rented house, but BF "Zaporuka" has a big and pure dream: to create an ideal own space, where everything will be as it should be, at the highest level of comfort and hospitality.
Now the foundation's dream is very close to being realized: the final stages of the construction of its own house for "Dacha", where 300 children and their parents will be able to stay during the year, are already underway. There is very little left for this project to become a reality, which is 14 rooms for 14 families who can stay in a free room for treatment at the same time.
The experience of the existence of this center confirms that the children living at the "Dacha" liven up, they walk outside, play, cook their favorite dishes and can spend time with their family. Family support of the child during treatment is very important and necessary, as it contributes to recovery!
That is why the Gelius brand took over the possibility of paying for repair work and furnishing one of the rooms of the future house.
