Gelius supported the Department of Children's Neurosurgery Okhmatdyt in Kyiv

This week, the Gelius brand was able to replenish its treasury of good deeds with the support of the Okhmatdyt Children's Neurosurgery Department in Kyiv. We were able to buy and donate a medical aspirator and scales for newborns to the department.

For patients with neurosurgical pathology, the National Children's Hospital "OKHMATDYT" is the only children's hospital in Ukraine that successfully applies a multidisciplinary approach to treatment. For example, in cases with neuro-oncology, the same team works: a neurosurgeon, an oncologist and a radiation therapist.

For two years now, the Department of Pediatric Neurosurgery has been providing highly qualified medical care to children from 0 to 18 years of age.

A medical aspirator is used in emergency care for patients who cannot get rid of sputum on their own due to illness, after or during operations, and for suctioning fluids such as pus and blood during various clinical procedures.

We are glad that, thanks to the partnership with the "Zaporuka" foundation, this need was identified and closed, which will affect the quality of treatment not only of their wards, but also of other small patients who come to Okhmatdyt for treatment from all over Ukraine.
