Ultra-modern sneakers on a 3D printer

One of the most popular sports shoe brands New Balance has presented a unique sneaker in an ultra-modern format. Thanks to 3D printing technologies on special printers, the American company New Balance was able to create an improved model of the modern No. 990 series sneakers.

The outsole of the sports sneakers has been completely updated, namely, their rear heel part, which was printed on a 3D printer.

For the material, a high-quality development "Rebound Resin" was thought out. The wear-resistant quality proved to be higher than that of the popular and environmentally friendly "EVA" material.

A distinctive and characteristic feature of this material has become a large margin of safety, allowing large and tall people to overcome hundreds of kilometers without wearing out the soles of sports sneakers.

The first released batch should be a circulation of only 500 copies. The stated cash value is tentatively $185 for one pair of these shoes.

This number was due to the difficult methods of the printing company and, of course, the listed price of the sneakers.

New Balance plans to expand its print production over time and increase the volume of these original models.

Printing company Formlabs, in turn, is also committed to developing an improved 3D printer model for such interesting tasks. This solution allows you to create high-quality sneaker parts at a faster pace.
