Gelius supported the competition of young designers New Fashion Zone
The Gelius brand acted as a prize partner of the New Fashion Zone. This year, the New Fashion Zone public organization held the finals of the New Fashion Zone young designers competition in Kyiv for the sixth time.
Also, together with the competition, screenings of the final of the Ukrainian New Fashion Days 2020 project were held, which is supported by the Ukrainian Cultural Fund for Ukrainian fashion brands and aims to present Ukrainian brands and designers to international buyers, retailers, mass media, fashion analysts and consumers.
This project will help Ukrainian fashion brands and designers to enter the EU market. As part of this project, international jury members selected 6 Ukrainian brands that underwent a mentoring program with three international practitioners:
- Adrien Bortotto is a designer of the Dior fashion house.
- Kateryna Karmachova is the head of Wholesale for Eastern and Western Europe of the Lanvin fashion house.
- Maud Pupato is the main buyer of the world-famous department store chain Printemps.
VI New Fashion Zone Young Designers Competition is an annual competition of young creators. Among 862 applications for the competition, 120 participants were selected for the semi-finals. And 49 finalists have already been selected among 120 semi-finalists.
The Gelius brand supported the contest winners and mentors with useful gifts and modern gadgets.
