Interview with Lera Didkovskaya
-
Lera, you live an active and eventful life: concerts, filming, studies, tours. Have you ever thought about leaving everything and starting the life of the most ordinary teenager?
Undoubtedly, it's hard. And such a rhythm requires daily work. But it was my choice and this is what I really enjoy. But like everyone else, I sometimes need a recharge. -
How do you deal with a heavy workload? How do you manage to keep up everywhere, and how popularity reflects on you?
We do our best and try to please our audience at concerts. We show a cool show for which we prepared every day, we release new products that people like and delight! And this is a huge job. And I should not forget about my studies - this is also extremely important now! -
How do you manage to balance studies and performances? Are there any life hacks to keep up with everything everywhere and always?
There is a director who guides us on the loading of meetings, filming, interviews and working hours for the week. And then we ourselves plan all our affairs. Of course, this came with experience, but if you want, you can do everything. -
You are an example and inspiration for many teenagers. Why did it happen, do you think? Why are you being followed by children and teenagers from so many countries around the world and waiting in every city?
We do what we want and what we really like! And this is from early childhood! They trusted us and continue to invest in us. In response, we show a high level and proudly represent our country. Our team, producer work and create a fashionable and stylish music product. I think this is a mega cool balance. -
Lera, millions of subscribers follow you on social networks and can look into life outside the stage. Tell me how is your day going?
Early rise, study, classes, recording studio, or an interview and a concert. In different ways, actually. But every day is exactly scheduled and planned in advance. -
Do you want to continue making music? Or are you planning to learn another profession in order to be realized in a different field?
You need to get another profession just in case, I think. This is exactly what I'm doing right now. Since I am already 20 years old, I can confidently say that this is the time to try myself in different areas, but I definitely would not want to give up music. -
There are several million subscribers in your social networks today, how did you manage to achieve this? Why are so many people following you?
I sometimes ask myself this question too. Initially, the girls and I did not think about popularity at all, and this is a huge plus at the start of the journey, because you are completely focused on your favorite work. We did what we like, brings pleasure and shared it with people. I would not say that we are “followed”, but rather interested. At that time, there were no alternative bands like us yet, in fact, this is what the younger generation needed. -
How much time do you spend on social media, given that you run your own?
When I have free time, I think quite a lot, which is bad! But I'm glad that I don't have too much free time, so I don't spend so much of it on social media. Most of the time is spent on correspondence and communication. I have friends who are very far away and we keep in touch. -
How much time do you spend with your phone, on what vlogs and websites? Is there an intentional break from the smartphone?
When you wake up in the morning, is the first thing you check social media?
Basically, I am often on Instagram and Tik-Tok, I like to watch interviews of famous personalities of interest to me, listen to live performances of foreign performers, watch American YouTube about creativity and fashion. I force myself to put the phone down when I sit too long. -
In the morning, I immediately get notifications and most often there are a lot of messages on work issues. Therefore, the morning begins with the answers.
