DonorUA and the Gelius brand launched the initiative "Donate blood because I can!"
During the quarantine period, donor blood is needed more than ever. Doctors can save a patient's life, even if he has lost about 70% of his blood.
The initiative "I donate blood because I can!" created to encourage donors to donate blood, which is extremely necessary, especially during the lockdown period. After all, the blood centers are practically empty.
DonorUA invites people to donate blood, and the Gelius brand gives away smart gadgets to donors. already on April 9, 10 lucky people will be able to receive gifts.
Terms of participation:
- Be a registered donor on the donor.ua website and have a certified certificate in the donor's office from January 1 to April 8, 2021.
- Be subscribed to the pages @gelius.ua and @donor.ua.
The prize draw will take place on April 9, 2021, on the DonorUA Facebook page. You can participate in the prize draw if you donate blood or its components from January 1, 2021 to April 8, 2021. Ten winners will be selected using the random.org service and will receive valuable gifts.
According to statistics, one blood donor can save the lives of three people. About half a million people become donors in Ukraine every year. However, only at first glance it seems that it is a lot. Most people donate blood only on a one-time basis.
Therefore, there is often a shortage of blood donors, and this situation is especially aggravated during quarantine.
